ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.70 g, 12 h), Theodotos, Kleophanes and Sotas, magistrates, 106/5. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / ΘEO/ΔO/TOΣ - KΛE/OΦA/NHΣ / ΣΩ/TAΣ Owl standing facing on amphora; no symbol; on amphora, H; in exergue, ME; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 764c var. (Γ on amphora). Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with a lamination flaw on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
